The Bachelor of Professional Accounting comprises twenty-four (24) units of core units and electives over 100, 200 and 300 levels to meet the requirements of with the Australian Qualifications Framework (Level 7), and Higher Education Standards Framework. Candidates can choose to study part-time or full time.
This course commences with six (6) core units and two (2) specialism units at the 100 level that provide students with a strong grounding in the knowledge, skills and application required for accounting practice. These first-year units are followed by the next set of two (2) core units and six (6) specialism units covering more specific accounting and business concepts at the 200 level. The final set of two (2) core units, three (3) specialism units, two (2) electives covering advanced applications and internship, and one (1) capstone unit at the 300 level provides students with a choice of advanced topics in their field of interest.
The Bachelor of Professional Accounting equips Graduates with analytical and problem-solving skills that will empower them to develop into future leaders of the accounting profession and the broader business community.
ASA operates on a quarterly basis (four intakes per year) with two four-week blocks per quarter.

The primary mode of delivery is face-to-face and at the same time online for each unit. Each unit will be delivered as a four hour workshop, twice per week every four weeks.

To gain admission to ASA’s Bachelor of Business (Technology Management), students need to meet ONE of the following criteria:
- Successful completion of an Australian senior secondary qualification with a satisfactory Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) score of 65 (or equivalent as determined by the Academic Board) or
- Successful completion of an equivalent secondary qualification interstate and attainment of the required entrance standard; or
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited Tertiary Preparation Program (TPP) or a Foundation Year Program offered by a recognised higher education provider in Australia; or
- Successful completion of an equivalent secondary qualification overseas, and attainment of the required entrance standard; or
- Satisfactory completion of a qualification at AQF Level 5 (Diploma) or above, or an equivalent international qualification.
(For non-school leavers including mature-age applicants and/or those who do not hold their HSC or equivalent)
Domestic applicants who are 21 years of age or over who have not completed Year 12 or its equivalent may gain entry to a course by addressing one of the following entry requirements:
- successful completion of a Special Tertiary Admissions Test administered by a tertiary admissions centre; or
- submission of a portfolio of prior and current academic and professional work.
NOTE: Mature age entry applicants must also meet the English language entry requirements.
Bachelor of Professional Accounting Graduates will have a balanced, focused edge, including industry know-how and an outstanding knowledge and skill base that will set them up for immediate professional success.
